You can actually even apply crushed garlic or its juices directly on your scalp. If you have sensitive skin or dislike the smell, mix it with honey or dilute with water.
- Tea tree oil. This is fairly simple: just apply a few drops of this to your usual shampoo and continue using as normal. Just 5% tea tree oil has been proven to relieve dandruff!
- Apples: to eat or apply. Some believe that apples are reduce dandruff symptoms when eaten. You can also massage apply cider into your scalp, washing after a few minutes, to help aid the fight.
- Chickpeas: to eat or apply. Locally called chole, chickpeas are full of zinc and vitamin B6 that fight dandruff. Don’t like eating chickpeas? Mix chickpea flour, water, and curd to make a paste and apply it to your scalp, then rinse off.
- Aloe vera: to apply. Aloe vera doesn’t just fight dandruff; it also prevents itching. Massage some onto your scalp and then shampoo your hair to enjoy the cooling effects.
- Olive oil: to apply. Place ten drops of olive oil on your scalp, cover your head with a shower cap, and leave it on overnight as you sleep. The next morning, shampoo as usual.
