Post Holi Skin Care Tip #1
One of the things we have noticed during the play of colors is that many of us start to rinse our face in the middle of the act. Please don’t do that because it will wipe off all the oil applied on the skin during the pre Holi preparation phase. After you are completely done playing Holi, you should first comb your hair and remove all the dry color from the hair and then stand in the shower to rinse of all the color without any scrubbing or soaping. Then move to the next step.
Post Holi Skin Care Tip #2
It is advised to use good quality, chemical free shampoos, soaps, and conditioners because your skin has already been exposed to a high degree of chemical. You could also make a homemade paste for hair with eggs, curd, and vitamin E oil. Apply this mask to your hair after rinsing it, leave for 20 minutes and then rinse it properly. This is then to be followed by shampoo and conditioner.
Post Holi Skin Care Tip #3
For the face, you can take non-boiled milk in bowl, dip a cotton ball in it and generously apply on the face and neck. Leave for a few minutes and rinse it. This can be repeated a few times. Or make a paste of 2 tablespoons of gram flour, a tablespoon of yogurt, and a few lemon drops. Mix it well and apply it on the face. Leave it for 20 minutes and rinse. This will not only remove the color, but nourish the skin as well.
Post Holi Skin Care Tip #4
Arm, hands, and feet, are usually the most exposed area to color. Use a good quality body scrub to remove the color from the skin. Apply the scrub on the skin in circular motion and leave it to dry. Once the scrub dries, you can use some milk to remove the scrub. After this, rinse the body.
After a day or two, you can even visit a salon and get hair spa and body spa done. This will remove the color off the body completely. A pedicure or manicure will fix that extra colour on your nails too. Just pamper yourself with some post-holi care.
