Working deeply on the hamstrings, the pose is great for reducing back ache, stretching the lower body, and creating more space in the back to increase flexibility and movement. If you are a beginner, you can use a block or a bolster to place the hands while in the pose or simply bend the knee slightly and perform.
Yoga for Menopause #4: Virabhadrasnaa or the Warrior Pose
The warrior pose finds its meaning in the name. A challenging pose with variations, it works on the entire body, opens the pelvic joint, stretches the quadriceps and the upper body. It removes obstructions in the groin area and stretches the lunge and the calves too.
Yoga for Menopause #5: Upavistha Konasana or Seated Side Angle Bend Pose
A deep hip opening pose, it stretches the entire lower body and creates more space in the back. This is why it is also called a back pain reliever pose. Along with this, it also stimulates the abdominal organs and elongates the spine.
