It is indeed true for the world famous Bollywood star, Irrfan Khan. After telling his fans earlier this month that he is suffering from a rare disease via Twitter, he shared no details, leaving all of us in the dark. It is yesterday that he sent a tweet giving both name and shape to fear, his disease is called Neuroendocrine disease.
Without giving much details, he shared this tweet:
It is being said that the tumor could metastasise into cancer.He also mentioned that NEURO is not necessarily related to the brain and that goggle is not always the best help to restore to. So please get started with your research just yet.
The actor told (at the time of his initial announcement) to his 1.9 million followers that there is no need to speculate and he would himself share his story with them every 7 to 10 days. Now, that’s thoughtful. Isn’t it?
Irrfan Khan’s Disease: What is Neuroendocrine Cancer ?
Commonly found in the intestines, Neuroendocrince Cancer can be explained as neoplasms or abnormal growth of tissue in the cells of the endocrine system and the nervous system. Also known as NET, the cancer is most common in the lungs or pancreas, but it can be found in any part of the body. As per the Times of India Newspaper,
There can be many types of NET depending on the affected organ. These include the Pheochromocytoma, Merkel cell cancer, Neuroendocrine carcinoma and Paraganglioma.
Irrfan Khan’s Disease: Is it Fatal ?
Well, yes and no. It depends upon the organs that are affected with the disease. Also, if the tumor is benign or malignant decides the potency of the tumor. As of us now, we have no confirmed reports on the type of tumor Hindi Medium actor is suffering with because his tweet never divulged much information for us to understand.
